209: Your Beer has Glyphosate with Brandon Rust

Brandon Rust has been cultivating and breeding cannabis for 20+ years, originally from San Diego, he currently resides in Oklahoma and works in the legal cannabis industry, as an owner operator and as a private consultant. A self-taught agronomist and microbiologist, Brandon owns Bokashi Earthworks, which is involved in manufacturing microbial consortiums for the use in agriculture, bioremediation and green waste recycling.
manufacturing organic soils specifically blended for cannabis production, and is involved in the manufacturing and distribution of organic carbon based humate fertilizer in partnership with NASA agricultural technologies.

Biggest takeaway: organic nutrition isn’t just “natural,” it can actually help plants absorb nutrients more efficiently because of humic and fulvic acids, which support bioavailability and the soil microbiome. He even talked about a “NASA fertilizer” concept aimed at making fertilizer cleaner and way more efficient, and why conventional urea can be shockingly wasteful. We also kept it real about agriculture myths, marketing scams, and why regenerative farming is going mainstream.
