Hello, I’m Kaitlyn Kuehn,

My passion for biology started when I was 6—I would go over to my neighbors house to pick their flowers because they simply amazed me. Every time I went to the zoo I would write down facts they had on the animal cages and make an educational book out of them. Every time I went to a greenhouse I would take the freshly fallen flowers and bring them home with me.

My interests continued into college when I learned that all medicine stems from plants and fungi. I started taking plant biology classes at Minnesota State University- Mankato and again fell in love with how plants works—most importantly how the physiology works. I learned how and why leaves fall off trees. I learned how plants signal to other plants and fungi in order to share messages and nutrients. I learned how connected the world is and how evolved plants are with their surroundings. I am making “Flora Funga Podcast” to express my love for biology and hope I can educate some of you on how special it all is.

Thank you,

Kaitlyn Kuehn
